What a year that was!

Where did the time go? It’s almost Christmas and 2026 is lurking around the corner.

To say this was an eventful year would be a massive understatement. I wrote a book. I was published. And I set off on a tour of radio and tv stations, book stores and book clubs, to promote The Golden Daughter. Not bad.

My heart is full of gratitude for Neil, who’s been with me every step of the way; for my publisher, House of Anansi Press, who took a chance on me; and to you, all the wonderful folks who bought my book and invited me to your book clubs.

I’m especially grateful for my new-found Polish family. I knew nothing about you till I researched my book. And now you are always in my heart, especially Kris and Siarhei who came to Canada for the book launch and a short visit.

To everyone - I wish you light and happiness for this holiday season and I pray 2026 will see peace break out everywhere in the world.
